Agriculture:

Agricultural opportunities in Churn Creek Bottom continue to thrive in our community.
Churn Creek Meadow Organic Farm, and Tom Reemts Farm, Spring Sensations, are providing produce to the entire community through Redding Certified Farmers Market.

The '' Grow an Extra Row '' food donation program was a success thanks to many local CCB growers.

Liz Zaharris continues to market produce at the Gray Ranch.

Holly Singleton raises high quality horses on the Singleton Ranch.

Steve Dabovitch has recently planted more than a100 acres of hay in CCB.

Many cattle operations enjoy the over 800 acres of ACID irrigated pastures in the CCB.

Community Affairs:

After years of work, the Pacheco School is finally getting a new gymnasium! It appears the construction is proceeding on schedule. When completed, the gym will be a multi-use community facility that can be enjoyed by all. Truly, the new gym will be a great addition to the community.

Development:

The ''round about '' traffic circle intersection at Rancho and Churn Creek roads that the City is planning will not be built with city funding. The project won't happen until future private development in the area provides the funding.

As reported earlier, the ''Camper World '' development on Riverland Drive, south of Knighton is planned on commercially zoned acreage. We will look at the plans as the project nears. The hope is that Camper World will be interested in building a project that will fit the surrounding area.

The Hawkins development corporation of Boise, Idaho is buying up agriculturally zoned land at the Northeast corner of Knighton and I-5. We are evaluating all of our options, so that our quality of life, and the preservation of our precious CCB land will continue.

Local Goverment:

We have requested, and the County has agreed to place the topic of a Specific Plan for Churn Creek Bottom on an upcoming Board of Supervisors agenda.
